I am a contemporary psychoanalyst who has had the honor of working with a broad array of people. I care deeply about people and have a passion for helping those who struggle with life. I have the curiosity, openness, and respect of all people who are coming from different backgrounds, ethnicities, orientations, identities, preferences, lifestyles, experiences, abilities and ideas.
My focus is not on a “condition” or a “diagnosis” but rather on you – a whole, unique and complex human being. My approach is not guided by defining “what you have” but by understanding who you are and how you came to be. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
My interest is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan. I primarily use a psychodynamic lens to understand and work with my patients through the psychological, emotional and relational challenges they bring to therapy. I believe that the experiences, thoughts, feelings and behaviors that bring people to therapy have meaning. These experiences impact the way our personality is organized, how we relate to others, and how we feel about ourselves. This, in turn, will impact how we deal with the life challenges in the present.
Together we create and find meaning and discover ways to live a life with more meaning, purpose and freedom. I value our work together as a source of meaning and growth.
We often feel pressured to move, to preform, to fix, to do something but less being in the moment. Together we will experience how to slow down, to pause, to pay attention and reflect on our experiences in order to have a better understanding of what is said and what is not.
